Window tint shades

Tint darkness is measured by Visible Light Transmission (VLT) — the percentage of visible light that passes through the glass and film. The lower the number, the darker the tint.

A note on Delaware tint rules. Currently, Delaware’s regulations for the front side windows must allow 50% VLT or greater, there is no VLT requirement for the side windows behind the driver or the rear window. A signed medical waiver is still recognized.
